As many of you now know.....our daughter is being courted by a really wonderful guy!
I did not want to take away from their story by blabbing here but I will direct you to the web site they created so their friends could share their joy and follow their journey. It has been a very interesting several months and my husband and I have been totally amazed seeing the hand of the Lord work mightily in the lives of both of them. There is a lot more I could say but I will just let that up to them to share throughout the coming months. When you get to their site, click on "Our Story" and you can read all about it.

May I encourage you ladies to grab a copy of the book listed above? So very good.....
And while I am at it......I really encourage all of you to get a copy of the DVD "Return of the Daughters."
This is not just for young ladies....but for their papas and brothers and mammas too...especially their papas.

I am reading that book now, and have gleaned so much from it. We also recently had a chance to watch the DVD and it was amazing, I can not wait to watch it with my family again.
I am blessed watching God move in Casey and Elizabeths life.

Greetings to you! This DVD is interesting. I feel that this concept is so revolutionary for our current society but I can see that it could save so much heartache for young women. My daughter was certainly trying to get out from under us since she was about 13. We are happy with how things are turning out for her but she could have saved herself and us a lot of heartache and sleepless nights and her life could have turned out much worse...but God was faithful and she responded to Him!!!!! Blessings on you and your family.

I have read the book! It is a book you could read several times isn't it? I also bought the dvd the first week it was out. When it arrived at my new home, I must have watched in 3 or 4 times. It spoke to my spirit! The music was wonderful and my little one kept pressing play! I shared the dvd with my nieces when they came to visit. They took it home and have yet to return it. (That was back around the end of November). I am sure it is being viewed over and over again. I probably should buy me another copy!
Thank you so much for your sweet comments and prayers! I don't know what you meant about it being timely but I am happy that it can give a glimpse into a "CHRISTIAN" military Family. The military can be a good experience when you have the Lord given you peace and also a wonderful career when the Lord is truly the PILOT of a Man's career!

i am so thrilled for you all, especially elisabeth, but all of you too. god's timing is so perfect and to think he's had thsi young man picked for her from the the beginning of time is just amazing, isn't it? he is so good. the picture of them is so cute and they just look like they belong together. i cannot wait to read all about the courtship. love you, mari

Isn't that DVD wonderful?! It is so encouraging to us stay at home daughters and parents of! That book sounds wonderful too- I'll have to keep that one in mind for one day.

That is an amazing DVD! Our whole family loved it! I actually have a whole post up right now about the "Return of the Daughters" DVD. I'm trying to really get it out to people. It's so encouraging, and beautifully done.

susan, i had to come back with one more comment for you. i read their site and it's beautiful what they have written, and i am so happy for them. they really look like a couple and god is shining on them. wonderful.
how are you feeling about it all? what was it liek for you to let her go into this with someone living so far away? what happens if they marry and she leaves your area to move away? how does the mother of a daughter handle this, sides simply trusting and obeying god and knowing all is well under him.
i am trusting god with my son dylan and liv, but i still find myself worrying about things like immigration for her. she is in nyc now but every 3 months she returns to italy for 3 weeks for another visa. i don't want to get married only so she can get her residency here. being a mom is hard sometimes when it comes to worrying.
