Yes, there was another birthday in our family today...my hubby's.
I think that all birthdays should be allowed to fall on a weekend not a work day.
We have not seen him all day and have yet to sing Happy Birthday to him. He had to work late then make a delivery on his way home. If we were thinking straight we should have celebrated with Will on Sunday. Oh well....he had his share of cake...actually cakes....this weekend, so he is happy.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~On a much sadder note I will direct you to this post about a 19 year old young man who unexpectedly went home to be with the Lord this past Sunday. Our daughter had the pleasure of having a long conversation with one of his sisters when we were at the Jamestown event in June. We do not personally know the family but my heart aches as a mother. Let's hold this family and church family up in prayer at this time.

hi susan, i didn't know you too loved the maxwell's. have you been to one of their conferences? i can only imagine how wonderful it would be to attend. i've written to mr. maxwell sharing a concern and aasking his advice on soemthing involving my oldest son. it was nothing big or too serious, but i inew that mr. maxwell would give me sound godly advice and not tell me what i wanted to hear to be kind. he doesn't hold back and he give sound godly biblical answers to tough questions. he said they would love to get back to the seattle area for a conference soon, and if they do work it in i will go. i don't homeschool and my children are adults, but as parents we are always learning. i really would like to talk to christopher, the 28 year old, and pickhis brain a litte.
on another note . . . lots of nice young men in that family . . .
it was so good to hear from you. i hope you are feeling well and enjoying gearing up for the holidays. blessings and lots of love, mari
