My baby is 16 today!!! How'd that happen???
His sister has a little photo time line posted on her site.
I will also convey that he is my handsome protector....his name means just that...and he really has lived up to that name. I feel safe where ever I go when he is along with me.
He also protects me from over spending(in a very kind and protective way
)...that wise and frugal guy! I so appreciate that too. When he was really young and before he stopped watching tv he use to come running to me telling me about the latest item I could buy for just $19.99 that promises to do......."We have to get it Mom!!!" Well...he has certainly out grown falling for the latest schemes.
He learned the hard way though..you get what you pay for.
He has also been through the mill with Lyme disease as well as Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever and a few other co-infections from ticks....ughhhh.....why are there ticks??? There are ups and downs days and he tries so hard to overcome the left over effects of this disease.
Will enjoys hunting and is getting to be known as "Ole Dead Eye" because each time he has gotten something it has been his one and only shot.
That seems to be his way.....he is determined when he gets something in his head...which reminds me of the time when he was about 6. Will had been watching a McGee and Me video that had something to do with roller blading and he said he could do that. He wanted roller blades and so we went off to K-Mart and he tried some on and next thing I knew he was sailing down the aisle..and the next aisle. Ummmm...the only thing I could do was cringe...and hope that no one was walking by the other way...because he had no idea how to stop. He was so determined to be able to do it...he did it.
He was so cute. (Sorry Will...but you were!)
When he was very little he loved to watch old Roy Rogers shows and Gene Autry movies. He always wore a cowboy hat and cowboy boots and his blue jeans were always covered with "golden dust" from the dirt he played in with his little horse and little Gene Autry figure. He called himself "Cowboy Gene."
He never did get to ride like he wanted to...and still does. Someday he will get around to that.
So now he is 16 and today is so special to us all. Our lives have been blessed beyond measure because of him.
I love you Will!
Happy Birthday!!!
